Gordon Horsfield | Chairman
Gordon is the previous Chairman of Drax Group Plc, the owner and operator of the UK’s largest coal and biomass powered generating plant. Currently he is also a director of 42 M&P Ltd and the Holbeck Charitable Trust. He is also a Partner in Yearsleydale LLP. He was previously a Non-Executive director of Algeco Scotsman Holding SARL and Turner & Townsend PLC, former Chairman of the Norwich & Peterborough Building Society, Chair of Council at the University of York and chaired a number of Committees of the Ampleforth Abbey Trust. Until the end of 2002 he was with PwC, latterly as Director of Operations, having previously been Head of Corporate Finance & Recovery at Price Waterhouse UK.
Pawel Kisielewski | Chief Executive Officer
Prior to becoming CEO, Pawel was a Senior Adviser to Kleinwort Benson with over 25 years financial services experience in capital raising in both the institutional, public and early stage private markets. Previously the Investment Partner of Hermes BPK and Caliburn Capital, Pawel formerly ran Global Technology Sales at Merrill Lynch and was head of Deutsche Bank’ London based Pan European equity sales.
Dr Peter Hammond | Chief Technology Officer
Peter is a Research Fellow of Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham and has over 20 years industrial experience in process engineering - specialising in the application of supercritical carbon dioxide and superheated water. Peter has extensive experience in the delivery of large scale projects in North and South America. His wider body of work includes patents for materials, processes and analytical techniques along with the founding of two successful businesses producing phytochemical extracts and high performance engineering polymers for multinational companies.
Richard Morse | Non-Executive Director
Richard was a founder investor of CCm and is a Partner of Opus Corporate Finance and has more than 30 years of experience in the utilities, energy and infrastructure sectors. He is also Chairman of John Laing Environmental Assets Group, a listed company that invests in wind farms, solar parks and other environmental assets; and Deputy Chairman of Bazalgette Tunnel Limited, the company that has the licence to construct a new “super-sewer” in London. Richard has previously been Head of the European electricity and utilities advisory team of Goldman Sachs; Managing Director and Senior Adviser of Greenhill & Co.; Managing Director of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein; and also Deputy Director General of Ofgem.
Dr Shifang Liu | Research Chemist
Shifang is an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and has over 25 years of experience in chemistry, specialising in synthetic chemistry and analytical techniques. She was a lecturer of inorganic chemistry at Lanzhou University, China and following the completion of her PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, she was a Research Associate in Green Chemistry and Catalysis in Queens University Belfast and Liverpool University.
Dr Fabricio Marques | Chemical Engineer
Fabricio is an Associate Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, as well as a member of the Carbon Dioxide Utilisation (CO2Chem) Network. He has over 10 years of experience in process and product research and development. Following a Chemical Engineering degree at the University of Birmingham, he obtained a PhD on Carbon Dioxide Capture and Utilisation for Biocomposites.
Caroline Serjeant | Finance Director
Caroline is a Chartered Accountant (FCA), having qualified at Price Waterhouse Coopers. She has a wide range of commercial experience from roles at BT plc (where she was Head of Finance for the 21st Century Network programme and Head of Management Review), De La Rue plc, and Chelsea and Westminster Health Charity.
