Gordon Horsfield | Chairman
Gordon is the former Chairman of Drax Group Plc, the owner and operator of the UK’s largest coal powered plant. He is the former Chairman of the Norwich & Peterborough Building Society and is currently Chairman of Shuropody Limited and the Ampleforth Abbey Trust Strategy Committee. He is a Director of Algeco/Scotsman Holding SARL; Turner & Townsend PLC; MyScience Limited; the Holbeck Charitable Trust and is a Partner of Yearsleydale LLP. He was Director of Operations of PwC, having been Head of Corporate Finance & Recovery at Price Waterhouse UK.
Peter is a Research Fellow of Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham and has over 20 years industrial experience in process engineering. Specialising in the application of supercritical carbon dioxide and superheated water, he has developed a body of work resulting in patents for materials, processes and analytical techniques. Peter was previously Operations Director of LLi and has extensive experience in the delivery of large scale development projects. He also founded two successful engineering businesses producing phytochemical extracts and high performance engineering polymers for multinational companies.
Pawel is a Partner of Hermes BPK Partners and has over 20 years experience in financial services. Pawel was previously a Partner and member of the Management Committee of Caliburn Capital Partners. Prior to that Pawel ran the Global Technology Sales Team at Merrill Lynch and was Head of Deutsche Bank Securities’ London based Pan European equity sales team. He has extensive experience in capital raising in both the institutional, public and early stage private markets.
Sam is a qualified lawyer, having trained and worked for Allen & Overy LLP. Sam has recently been involved in the development of start up businesses in the UK and the USA. Sam was educated at Durham University, BPP Law School and the College of Law. He leads the commercial team of CCm.
Richard is a Partner of Opus Corporate Finance and has more than 30 years of experience in the utilities, energy, technology and infrastructure sectors. Richard has been Head of European Utilities & the Energy Advisory team of Goldman Sachs; Managing Director and Senior Adviser of Greenhill & Co.; Managing Director of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein as well as Deputy Director General of Ofgem. More recently, he was a Partner of Matrix and a Senior Adviser to the Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC). He now primarily focuses on small to midcap energy technology companies in the power, new energy and clean tech space.
